Free vaccination event in WBR cancelled after decision to pause distribution of J&J vaccine

PORT ALLEN, La. (BRPROUD) – The Free COVID-19 vaccination event scheduled for Thursday in West Baton Rouge Parish has been cancelled.

The West Baton Rouge Council provided some details in this statement about why the vaccination event is being cancelled:

Due to recent FDA and CDC recommendations regarding the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, the Erwinville Community Center mass vaccination site, scheduled for Thursday, April 15th, 2021 has been cancelled.
