BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Louisiana recently received a $70,003 grant from the Department of Justice for the expansion and maintenance of criminal justice data, according to U.S. Attorney Ronald C. Gathe, Jr.
Gathe said the grant will be used to create a criminal justice performance retrieval system. He said the purpose of the system will be to improve access to statewide criminal justice data for “research, analysis, data sharing and compiling reports” for lawmakers.
The Louisiana Commission on Law Enforcement in Baton Rouge was the recipient of the grant, Gathe added.
