The Catholic High Bears went into Jeff Boss field to play against the U-High Cubs and try to get their first win against the black and yellow.
The Bears and Cubs back-and-forth first gave all the week-long hype the legitimacy needed. The Bears brought a 17-13 lead into halftime after Jackson Thomas threw a touchdown pass to Solomon Singleton.
Thomas was in on nearly every touchdown for Catholic on the night and helped the Bears get their first win against the Cubs with a 30-25 victory.
