GEISMAR, La. (BRPROUD) – Two Geismar Volunteer firefighters were on their way to False River to help with recovery efforts on Saturday but made an important stop along the way.
The two firefighters pulled up to a crash involving entrapment in West Baton Rouge Parish. The volunteer fire department says that they jumped into action and were able to get the person out of the car with help from bystanders.
According to the fire department, the person was in a stable condition and the Lobdell Fire Department took over the scene.
“Anywhere we go, anytime, we’re ready at a moment’s notice,” the fire department says. “Thank you to our dedicated volunteers who are constantly assisting other people in their worst time of need.”
