BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Donations are being accepted on GoFundMe for a four-year-old girl who died in a drowning on Thursday, Nov. 9, and a three-year-old boy who remains in critical condition.
According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office, CPR was performed on both children before they were taken to the hospital. The incident occurred at the Regency Club Apartments in Baton Rouge on Thursday night.
The money is being raised for Kaylee Ardoin, a four-year-old who tragically passed away during a drowning at a Baton Rouge apartment complex, funeral expenses.
Organizers of the GoFundMe for Ardoin released the following statement:
On Nov. 9, 2023, roughly around 7:15 p.m., my daughter Kaylee Ardoin, four-years-old and Kevontrae Ardoin Jr., three-years-old was found by me unresponsive in the complex pool. Sadly, my daughter Kaylee was called home, and my son Kevontrae is currently fighting for his life in ICU.

The goal for the donation is $5,000. As of Tuesday, Nov. 14, the amount donated is $850.
