Gonzales Police Department searches for two individuals accused of taking lost wallet, spending over $3k

GONZALES, La. (BRPROUD) – The Gonzales Police Department asks the public for help identifying two individuals accused of taking a lost wallet then spending thousands of dollars at several businesses.

Authorities said on July 30 two individuals found a lost wallet at Our Lady of the Lake Ascension, and rather than return it, they went shopping.

Eight transactions were made at five different businesses using three credit cards, according to Gonzales Police. The credit cards were used in Gonzales and East Baton Rouge Parish and transactions totaled $3,169.51.
