La. elections chief hopes to restart voting machine search by summer

GONZALES, La (BRPROUD) – Gonzales Primary School students participated in electronic voting by using voting machines provided by The Secretary of State’s Voter Outreach Division.

All thanks to the school’s librarian, third through fifth graders cast their votes for their favorite book in the Louisiana Young Readers’ Choice Program. The voting machines demonstrations, provided by the outreach division, are conducted for the school at no cost. “The Crayon Man: the True Story of the Invention of Crayola Crayons” by Natascha Biebow had the most votes at Gonzales Primary School. The winning title for the state will be announced in March.
