BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD)– Governor John Bel Edwards is encouraging the people of Southeast Louisiana to prepare ahead of Tropical Storm Sally.
Sally is expected to become a hurricane before making landfall.
“We have really good reason to be very concerned about this storm particularly because it is going to be a really slow moving storm,” Edwards said.
Forecasters expect hurricane-force winds and several inches, possibly up to a foot of rain.
“Everyone should be taking this seriously, please understand that you should be moving now, acting now, to get you and your family ready for this storm,” Edwards said.
