Gov. Edwards to participate in Breaux Bridge ribbon-cutting, press conference Monday

BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) – Gov. John Bel Edwards will take part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Breaux Bridge widening project at 10 a.m. and a media briefing at 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 22.

Edwards and Nic Hunter, the mayor of Lake Charles, will announce a housing project for the people who were affected by flooding from the hurricanes in 2020 and the floods in May.

The ceremony, which will celebrate the I-10 widening project from I-49 to Breaux Bridge, is located at 3225 Louisiana Avenue in Lafayette. The press conference will be in the Governor’s Press Room on the fourth floor at the Louisiana State Capitol in Baton Rouge.
