GPD and State Fire Marshal’s Office looking for help with arson case

The Gonzales Police Department, Crimestoppers and the State Fire Marshal’s Office need your help.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office said these investigative agencies “are seeking information about a suspicious fire in Gonzales.” 

The fire happened on December 29 in the 600 block of East Neal St.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office said officials were called “to investigate the origin and case of a fire at an unoccupied home that was also the scene of a crime investigated earlier that week.”

A vehicle was considered a total loss due to the fire and according to investigators, “the fire contained multiple areas of origin and classified it as incendiary.”
