BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Louisiana Organization for Refugees and Immigrants (LORI) is celebrating its 5th anniversary and Hispanic Heritage Month.

The organization is hosting an event on Oct. 22 at Holiday Inn (9990 Airline Highway) in Baton Rouge at 6:30 p.m.

LORI originated as a small organization with few organizers; however, over time, it has grown not only in numbers but in skills and creativity.

Executive Director Dauda Sesay said, “LORI’s achievements result from persistent hard work and combined efforts from our staff, volunteers, board members, community members, and beloved partners.”

“We continue to create impact, connect families, and promote inclusion and diversity in our society, thanks to the amazing people,” said Marcella Hernandez, operation manager.
