Halloween event in St. Amant to have petting zoo, hayrides

BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) – Hear kids scream “BOO” and cows go “MOO” at an upcoming Halloween event in Ascension Parish.

Boo at the Barn is set for Saturday, Oct. 16 through Sunday, Oct. 17 in St. Amant. The entry fee is $3 per person and participants will have access to face painting, games, hayrides, live music and more.

The first session runs from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. The second session starts at 4 p.m. and will end at 5:30 p.m. The costume contest for the first session will begin at 2:30 while the second session’s costume contest is set to begin at 5 p.m.

Festival foods such as cotton candy, drinks and concessions will cost extra. One featured food item is a sausage Po-Boy. Pumpkin painting will also come at an extra cost.

The event is open to the public and is located at 12035 La-431 in St Amant, La. Ticket sales end Friday, Oct. 15.
