ZACHARY, La (BRPROUD) – Cardiovascular Institute of the South in Zachary celebrates 15 years of care on Saturday, Sept. 18.
More than 20,000 procedures have since been performed, 450 patients have been treated for heart attacks, and a new state-of-the-art catheterization laboratory is to be installed at Lane Regional Medical Center in November of this year, according to an official press release.
“For 15 years, CIS has been committed to advancing the quality and access to cardiovascular care in Zachary,” Dr. Deepak Thekkoott, interventional cardiologist at CIS said.
In 2008, the Lane Regional Cardiovascular Center opened and received a Cycle IV Chest Pain Center Accreditation in 2020.
