ST. MARTINVILLE, La (BRPROUD) –  Longfellow-Evangeline State Historic Site is holding a traditional French sing-along on Saturday, Dec. 11 at 10 a.m.

“We are always looking for ways to enhance our visitor experience with special events at our Louisiana State Parks and Historical Sites,” Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser said in a press release. “This is the first time our Longfellow-Evangeline State Historic Site staff and volunteers will hold the French sing-along event and we are all excited.”

Nungesser said that visitors will be treated to a fun and interactive experience that everyone will enjoy. French lyrics with the English translation will be provided. Being fluent in French or a skilled singer is not required to participate. The standard site admission fee is four dollars per person ages four to 61. The historic site is located at 1200 N Main St in St. Martinville, La.
