GONZALES, La. (BRPROUD) – One week ago, members of local law enforcement jumped into the waters off of George Lambert Rd. near Highway 429.
A 4-year-old boy died as a result of this accident.
On Thursday, the sheriff’s deputies and firefighters who risked their lives are going to be recognized in front of the Ascension Parish Governmental Complex.
These individuals are expected to attend Thursday’s news conference:

- Sheriff Bobby Webre
- Fire Chief James LeBlanc
