BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — A tip led to the Thursday arrest of a suspect accused of attempted rape at a BREC park earlier this month.

The Baton Rouge Police Department identified the suspect as 21-year-old Dominick Moore of Baton Rouge.

Police said the attempted rape of a woman at a park on South Harrell’s Ferry Road took place on Wednesday, Aug. 10. The victim was taken to a hospital for her injuries after the attack.

BREC officials previously told BRProud that they could not comment on the active investigation but said security is increasing at the park.

Moore was booked into EBR Parish Prison on charges of attempted first-degree rape and second-degree robbery.
