Baton Rouge, LA (NBC 33/Fox 44)
A few weeks ago, we introduced you to “The Front Porch Project BR”. It sends photographers, free of charge, to people’s homes. They get a free family photo in return for a pledge to pay it forward by supporting local businesses…and everyone gets a smile.
Well, now the concept has expanded to businesses! “The Store Front Project BR” launched just this week and does the same thing, but for local businesses who are just trying to get by during this difficult time. Like families, these businesses, get the photographs for free, to be used in advertising, promotions, or whatever they need to get up and running again full steam once they’re back in business as usual.
Photographer Jenn Ocken, who’s been part of these projects from the beginning says it’s just the right thing to do.
“Just making sure that bounce back is easier,” Ocken says is what it’s all about. “Like how much easier can we make the bounce back from all of this.”
For more information on “The Store Front Project BR”, visit their Facebook and Instagram pages at The Store Front BR. And if you have a business you’d like to have featured or you’re a photographer who’d like to volunteer, message them at The Store Front Project United on Facebook.
