BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Baton Rouge fire investigators are asking the public for tips after a reported arson at an apartment near Plank Road after 8 p.m. Thursday.

Firefighters found light smoke coming from the apartment in the 3100 block of Pampas Street, according to the fire department. Officials said a small fire was found on a rear bedroom wall.

A fire investigator ruled that the fire was set on purpose.
