Jalyn Writes “All About Cops”.

Local News
A young boys school project has brought smiles to local law enforcement.
For this story we headed to Plaquemines Parish and met seven year old Jalyn Dantzler.
For one of his final school assignments before summer vacation, he was supposed to write about someone in the community.
Jalyn wanted to do his paper on police officers.
He wrote an eight page paper with illustrations about what police officers do to help the community, which he called “All About Cops”.
His paper eventually found its way into the hands of one of his baseball coaches who just happens to be a commander for the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office.
His coach, Commander Eric Becnel was so impressed, he put the paper on the sheriff’s office Facebook page to show the community and fellow officers what this young man had to say about law enforcement.
Jalyn has said that he wants to be a police officer when he grows up so Commander Becnel wanted to get him started early.
Before their game last Saturday, he presented Jalyn with an official patch of the Plaquemines Parish Sheriff’s Office and a mini badge.
