Karnival Krewe de Louisiane gearing up for annual Mardi Gras celebration

Proudly raising funds for the fight against cancer, the Karnival Krewe de Louisiane is gearing up for their annual Mardi Gras celebration and ball.

The 2020 Karnival Krewe de Louisiane ball is set for Friday, February 7th at the Raising Cane’s River Center. This year’s theme is: Phantom of the Opera.

Rose Hudson and Peter Scalfani, III will, respectively, serve as this year’s Mardi Gras Queen and King. John D’Angelo will serve as the Ball’s Captain and Dr. Yolunda Taylor will lead as the KKDL Grand Marshal.

Now in its 33rd year, the non-profit organization has raised and donated more than 3.5 million dollars. All proceeds raised go to the Mary Bird Perkins – Our Lady of the Lake Cancer Center in Baton Rouge.
