Kids’ Orchestra to hold 2017 summer music camps

Kids’ Orchestra announces the dates for its summer music camps, to be held this June.

Elementary students may participate in up to two full weeks of orchestral lessons, musical games, music appreciation, as well as other traditional camp activities.

Students will learn to play an instrument of their choice and present a showcase to family and friends at the end of each week, while also experiencing field trips and live musical performances.

  • Session 1 will take place June 19-23, 2017, offering students lessons in violin, viola, cello, and fundamentals.
  • Session 2 will take place June 26-30, 2017, offering students lessons in flute, clarinet, trumpet, percussion, and fundamentals.

Camp hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Episcopal High School, located at 3200 Woodland Ridge Boulevard, Baton Rouge, LA 70816. 

Tuition is $250 per week per student and includes instrument rental, daily lunch and snacks, field trip costs, and a T-shirt. Before and after care is available at no additional cost.
