BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – North Baton Rouge is referred to by many as a food dessert.
It does not have many eateries, especially those serving up hot food.
Kendell King, owner of Cajun Cowboy Kitchen is trying to change that.
“We do have a lot of fast food in the area. But you don’t want that everyday. That is not good for the soul,” says King.
King was born in Baker, Louisiana and is known around town as BR Cowboy.
The owner of Cajun Cowboy Kitchen is known for creating a seasoning called red magic.
The restaurant has been open since 2018.
Some of King’s specialities include boudin balls and boiled crawfish.
King says the most important ingredient is “a lot of love because if you can’t cook with love it won’t be good for anybody.”
