BATON ROUGE, La. (BRProud) Laissez les bon temps rouler! Krewe of Oshun is getting ready for a comeback after no Mardi Gras festivities in 2021.

They are currently welcoming all bands, dance teams, schools, social clubs, businesses and non-profit organizations to participate for the 2022 season.

Organizers say the second annual event will have musical performances, food eating contests, a “Children’s Village”, vendors and more.

Although this will be the first time back after a year hiatus, organizers say the first year was a huge success and looking to have the same next year.

“People were able to showcase their businesses and non-profits were able to showcase what they do year round in our community. It was something that was really transformative and is something we look forward to bringing this February,” says Myra Richardson.
