BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) – American Idol winner and Livingston parish native Laine Hardy will celebrate his 21st birthday via livestream on Sunday, Sep. 12 at 7 p.m.
The virtual concert will take place at the New Orleans Jazz Museum in the French Quarter. The concert will benefit Volunteer Louisiana and The Louisiana Museum Foundation.
“Hurricane Ida hit hard in my home state,” Hardy said. “So many people have been impacted and we wanted to find a way to help. I can’t think of a better way to spend my birthday than playing a show for everyone.”
“Laine Hardy is a true Louisiana Ambassador,” Louisiana Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser said. “He could have celebrated the release of his first album anywhere, but chose to celebrate at the New Orleans Jazz Museum because of his love of this state, the people and our unique culture.”
Hardy will perform songs from his debut album “Here’s To Anyone”, which will be released on Friday, Sep. 17.
