The Louisiana Department of Health has rolled out some new tools to help track the Coronavirus outbreak in the state.
On Wednesday, the new tools became available to the public on the LDH Coronavirus dashboard.
One of those tools is called a “heat map,” which breaks down the state into areas called “tracts.”
People who are interested can use the tool to find the tract where their home is located to see a range of Covid-19 cases that have been confirmed in that area.
The map is color coded with darker blue colors representing areas with higher concentrations of Coronavirus cases.
The LDH website says only Covid-19 positive patients who provided complete addresses have been included in the map.
To take a look at the map, click here for the LDH Coronavirus dashboard, then use the arrows at the bottom of the map to navigate over to the State Map of Cases by Tract tab.
