LDVA recognizes our war heroes at Veterans Day Ceremony

Local News

The Louisiana Department of Veterans Affairs is hosting a Veterans Day ceremony on Sunday, November 11, 2018.

The ceremony starts precisely at 11:00 a.m., which is the time when hostilities formally ended. This year is the 100 year anniversary of the end of World War I.

Organizers tell BRProud.com the event will be extra special this year with the incorporation of military families into the program.

We’re told the event was initially scheduled to be held at the Louisiana Veterans Memorial Park on 900 State Capitol Drive in Baton Rouge.

Due to inclement weather, the event venue has been changed to the American Legion Nicholson Post #38, which is located at 151 South Wooddale Blvd. in Baton Rouge.

LDVA invites all veterans, military families, veteran service organizations and community members from all across the region to join them in observance of our war heroes.
