Sunday, August 26 is National Dog Day! Make sure you are being the best pet owner with these helpful tips from Camp Bow Wow. 

We all love our furry friends, but we are we everything we can to make sure they are well taken care of?

Nina Wager with Prairieville Camp Bow Wow said considering your environment when adopting is key to finding a pet that is a good fit for you and your lifestyle. 

Wager also said listening to their needs based on their age is important. Puppies and young dogs need more care and attention when it comes to potty training.

Big dogs and puppies have lots of energy and need plenty of space and time to run and play.

Camp Bow Wow in Prairieville is having it’s grad opening on September 9 from 12 – 3 p.m.

Wager said it’s going to be a fun filled day with dog adoptions, food trucks, music, a bouncy house and snow balls. 

The event is being held at the Prairieville location located at 17545 Old Jefferson HWY in Prairieville.
