BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) – Highland Road Park Observatory will hold adult astronomy courses starting in early January.

Classes begin Jan. 8, 2022 with BREC and Highland Road Park Observatory teaching adults how to properly use binoculars. On Jan. 22, the class subject will be learning the sky and the final class will be on learning a telescope. Classes are open to everyone.

Each class will begin at 3:30 p.m. and end at 7:30 p.m. Classes are for ages 18 and older and cost fifteen dollars for East Baton Rouge Parish residents and eighteen dollars for out-of-parish residents.
