BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) – Fall is here and Halloween is a little less than four weeks away.
It is never too early to look at the various Halloween-themed events happening this year in the Capital City.
As Halloween events are announced, they will be added to this story.
“Merry not Scary – Still Socially Distant – Halloween”
Things are getting spooky at the West Baton Rouge Museum, and we are looking forward to celebrating! Please join the West Baton Rouge Museum and the West Baton Rouge Parish Library for our annual “Merry not Scary- Still Socially Distant- Halloween.” This FREE event will take place Friday, October 22, 2021, from 6:30-9:00 PM, on the grounds of the West Baton Rouge Museum.
Get ready for tricks, treats, and a whole lot of fun! From 6:30-7:30, trick-or-treaters can enjoy a fortune teller, crafts, activities and more across our six-acre campus. Come in your favorite Halloween costume to participate in the fun and get your picture taken- all before the grand finale!
Starting at 7:30, we will be showing a family-friendly Halloween movie on the lawn. Bring your beach towels, blankets, and lawn chairs to maximize your viewing experience. Keep up with both the West Baton Rouge Museum and the West Baton Rouge Parish Library on social media and their respective websites to learn what movie will be playing on the outdoor screen!
The West Baton Rouge Museum is located at 845 N. Jefferson Avenue in Port Allen. In the event of rain, activities will be moved to the West Baton Rouge Community Center and Pavilion.
Trunk or Treat in Ascension Parish
TPSO Trunk or Treat
Join the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Tangipahoa Crimestoppers on Oct. 28 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for the return of our Annual Trunk or Treat! This will be a night full of food, music, and fun! The Tangipahoa Crime Stoppers will also be providing Crime Prevention Information! This will be a night full of family fun.

This event takes place on Oct. 31 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Open Door Child Development Center and Open Door Baptist Church.

Scotland Saturdays Boo with the Krewe
For the 2nd straight year, Scotland Saturdays have teamed up with the Phi Gamma Sigma Youth Sorority, Inc. and a Host of Local Organizations to bring a special event on Sunday, October 31, 2021, 3p-7p in the Scotlandville Plaza.
We are encouraging Scotland Saturdays’ vendors and Boo with the Krewe participants to decorate their 10×10 tents with a Halloween theme. . We really want to make this a great family event in the Plaza for everyone.
Patrons and participants are encouraged to wear costumes to this fall festive occasion. On hand will be a few surprise special visitors that will serve as tent judges for a number of decorative categories!
Local High School Football on Friday, Southern U. vs Alcorn State on Saturday, and Boo in the Plaza on Sunday make this a historic fun-filled weekend in north Baton Rouge!!!

Fall Festival at Joseph’s Storehouse
This event takes place on Oct. 9 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a chili cookoff, local vendors, food, pumpkin patch, face painting, and raffle prizes at the festival.

Tricks & Treats Fall Fest
This “un-scary” event will be taking place on Oct. 30 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the LifePoint Church in Zachary where families can play carnival games and show off their Halloween costumes.

West Feliciana Parish Trunk or Treat
This event will be taking place on Oct. 21 located in the West Feliciana Sports Park. There will be a trunk contest and concessions. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. The park is located at 10226 W. Feliciana Pkwy in St Francisville, La.
Trick or Treat Down the Row
LSU Greek Life will be hosting a trick or treating event on W. Lakeshore Drive on Oct. 24 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
They will also be accepting donations for a food drive.
Boo & The Badge in Ascension Parish
The event will be hosted by the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office on Oct. 30 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 1201 Maginnis Street in Donaldsonville.
