BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD)- Ochsner Baton Rouge is offering a robust supply of COVID-19 vaccinations, boosters, and PCR testing. These services are for both children and adults are available at no out-of-pocket cost.
Appointments are not required but preferred by calling (844) 888-2772 or visiting MyOchsner.org. Walk-ins are accommodated as supplies last. You must bring a picture ID and insurance card, if applicable. Ochsner will not turn away patients based on their insurance status.
Booster shots are recommended for all adults (18+) six months after completing their two-shot series of Pfizer or Moderna, or two months after receiving the single-shot Johnson & Johnson. In early December, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorized, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) approved the Pfizer booster for 16- and 17-year-olds.
