Gulf Coast mayors hold press conference to discuss upcoming hurricane season preparations amid COVID-19 pandemic

Mayors of cities along the Gulf Coast and other officials held a press conference on Monday at 11 a.m. CT to discuss what hurricane preparedness will look like during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Baton Rouge Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome, Gretna Mayor Belinda Constant, New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell, Dr. Suzanne Van Cooten with the NOAA Lower Mississippi River Forecast Center, Jeff Graschel also with the NOAA Lower Mississippi River Forecast Center and other mayors and officials are all expected to speak at the meeting.
