BATON ROUGE, LA (BRPROUD)– Americans across the country are battling the COVID-19 pandemic and as number continue to rise reality starts to settle in.
During the press conference, Governor John Bel Edwards provided the latest numbers for the state of Louisiana. The numbers now show that there are now 380 cases and 10 deaths in the Louisiana fight against COVID-19.
Officials with Louisiana Works confirmed that there were 31,000 new unemployment benefit claims. That is up from the 1,700 claims that were opened last week.
