Livingston Parish to celebrate Louisiana American Idol Laine Hardy tonight

And the American Idol winner is……Laine Hardy. We’re just practicing early.

Are you ready to partty with Laine Hardy? We Are!

The Livingston Parish native made the Top 3 of American Idol.  Now, we celebrate TONIGHT!

Sheriff Jason Ard says, ‘We have quite a party taking shape!  We are anticipating over 10,000 people.  Because of the influx of screaming fans – we do have to have some rules in place to make this relatively short event — as impactful as possible!  The world will be watching!  Know that your Livingston Parish leaders, our law enforcement partners & our local businesses have been working together to host a party that is safe, fun-filled & family-oriented!  Thank you, Livingston Parish for your patience & your cooperation.’

If you are headed to the parade and concert here are a few new details.

The parade scheduled to start at 5:15pm at the Livingston Post Office and will end at the Livingston Parish Fair Grounds.


Please park at the Livingston Parish Fairgrounds *OR* at a business located along the route – WITH PERMISSION FROM THAT BUSINESS!  Then, walk to line the route. (Fairground gates will open at 3pm to allow parking prior to parade.) 

There will be NO PARKING along the route – Hwy 63 or Hwy 190!  Do NOT park on the side of the roadway along the parade route.

 (According to the Livingston Police Department, vehicles will be towed at the owner’s expense).

Florida Blvd entrance will be the ONLY entry into the fairgrounds.  

This is a FREE event – but, you will need money for LAINE HARDY merchandise that will be on site, if interested. An ATM machine will be on site.

NO Alcohol, NO ice chests, NO RVs, NO 4-wheelers, NO tents WILL BE ALLOWED ON LP FAIRGROUNDS

Immediately following the parade, expect a concert headlined by Livingston Parish’s Laine Hardy!
