DENHAM SPRINGS, La. (BRPROUD) – The Denham Springs Police Department is investigating a deadly motorcycle crash that happened Friday afternoon.
According to the police, around 3:30 p.m., a motorcycle driver was heading south on North Range Avenue and tried to turn left across two lanes of traffic onto Oak Street when they were hit by a car heading north.
Police said the motorcycle driver was sent to the hospital but later died from their injuries. The other driver submitted to a voluntary blood drawing.
Impairment is not suspected in this case and no arrests are expected to be made, police said. Police also said they would not release the name of the motorcyclist out of respect for the family.
