HOLDEN, La. (BRPROUD) — Louisiana State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash involving a farm tractor Sunday evening.
According to state police, around 8 p.m. on Sunday, troopers were called to a crash near the intersection of LA 441 and Herman Hutchinson Road in Livingston Parish.
During an investigation, troopers discovered Tracy Gauthier, 57, of Holden, was driving a farm tractor headed north on LA 441. A 2008 Chevrolet Malibu was driving behind the tractor before crashing into the rear of the tractor. As a result, Gauthier was ejected from the vehicle.
State police say Gauthier was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Gauthier was taken to a local hospital where he died of his injuries. The driver of the Malibu was also taken to a local hospital for moderate injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
