BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — The Livingston Parish Book Festival has announced another author will be featured at its event.

The festival will be on Saturday, Oct. 21 at the Main Branch in Livingston.

Sarah Guillory, a Baton Rouge author, was first announced as one of the featured authors. Guillory will be joined by #1 New York Times bestselling and award-winning author Eric Litwin.

According to a release from the Livingston Parish Library, Litwin will be one of three featured authors at the event. Litwin is the original author of the “Pete the Cat” series, “The Nuts”, “Groovy Joe” and “The Poop Song.”

“We’ve had many exceptional authors participate in our Book Festival over the years, but Eric Litwin goes straight to the top of the list,” said Michelle Parrish, Livingston Parish Library Director. “We are thrilled to be able to bring in the talent of someone like Eric for our Livingston Parish community. We know all who attend this year’s Livingston Parish Book Festival will enjoy Eric’s engaging, energetic, and positive performance.”

The Livingston Parish Book Festival is open to the public and those in attendance will get a free book while supplies last. The library said the festival will have author discussions, book signings, live music, food, face painting, games and other activities.
