SPRINGFIELD, La. (BRPROUD) — Livingston Parish deputies are working to identify a body found Monday, Oct. 16, near a Springfield home on Bell E Road.
In a social media post from the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, Sheriff Jason Ard said, “A homeowner located a decomposing body in close proximity to their residence in the wood line. This body is believed to be male. The Livingston Parish Coroner’s Office & LSU Faces Lab have agreed to work with detectives to determine an identity & a cause of death.”
