DENHAM SPRINGS, La. (BRPROUD) — A member of the Army National Guard and a Denham Springs native was surprised with a free air conditioning unit ahead of the celebration of Veteran’s Day on Saturday, Nov. 11.
Dillon Stewart was honored with an event that took place at the Circle K convenience store on S. Range Ave in Denham Springs on the morning of Friday, Nov 10.
Stewart got a free air conditioning unit and installation, courtesy of Dream Team Heating and Air.
According to a news release from Air Pros USA, Stewart and his family needed an improved air conditioning unit after their recent move.
“Our Louisiana team is deeply appreciative of the opportunity to support someone who consistently dedicates himself to others,” said Anthony Perera, founder and chief growth officer of Air Pros USA. “Even when off duty, Stewart remains steadfast in still looking out for those in his community.”
Stewart was recognized for his efforts during Hurricane Ida as he got the Distinguished Service Cross Award. According to the release, he has also been able to serve in his civilian life as he was able to purchase a house for his grandmother.
According to a news release from Air Pros USA, the company handed out air conditioning units across five cities throughout the country as a part of its fourth annual Veterans Day giveaway.
