LIVINGSTON, La. (BRPROUD) — Singer and actress from Louisiana, Ashton Gill, is coming to back home to perform at the Livingston Parish Book Festival.

Gill hails from the same parish where she is scheduled to perform on Saturday, Oct. 21. The artist is known for having made her way to Hollywood on American Idol in 2018.

Along with her music career, Gill landed a role in a film called, “The Author.” According to her bio, “Since American Idol, Ashton has been actively writing, recording, and performing new music in both local Louisiana venues and in Nashville, Tennessee.”

“We are thrilled that someone as talented as Ashton will be performing at the Livingston Parish Book Festival,” said Livingston Parish Library Director Michelle Parrish.

This marks the eighth year that the Livingston Parish Book Festival has taken place and this year’s lineup includes author Eric Litwin. Organizers said there will be author discussions, book signings, live music, food, face painting, games and other activities at the festival.

If you would like to attend, the festival is taking place at the main branch of the Livingston Parish Library from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It won’t cost you a cent and all attendees will receive a free book while supplies last, according to the Livingston Parish Library. The main branch is the only one that will be open in the parish on the day of the festival.
