DENHAM SPRINGS, La. (BRPROUD) – A recent investigation by the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division ended with the arrest of Tyler Dowdy, 35, and the seizure of drugs including fentanyl.

The investigation centered around a home in Denham Springs. Prior to the arrest of Dowdy, agents were looking into the possible distribution of fentanyl from this location. Sheriff Jason Ard said, “Agents executed a narcotics-related search warrant on Wayne Landry Lane this week.”

Dowdy was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center on Wednesday, August 23. He was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, two counts of possession with intent to distribute schedule I CDS, two counts of possession with intent to distribute schedule II CDS, one count of possession with intent to distribute schedule III CDS, possession of a firearm with drugs, possession of schedule 4 drugs and possession of schedule 2 drugs.

Drugs seized during the search include:

  • 66 grams of fentanyl
  • 203 grams of methamphetamine
  • 88 grams of marijuana
  • 31 dosage units of suboxone pills
  • Five dosage units of suboxone sublingual strips
  • Three dosage units of oxycodone
  • Two dosage units of Clonazepam
  • Two THC vape cartridges
  • Packaging material/Digital weighing scales
  • $5,741.00 U.S. Currency (pending seizure)
  • Four Firearms

There is no word yet on Dowdy’s bond amount.
