SPRINGFIELD, La. (BRPROUD) – An investigation into shots fired on Carter Cemetery Road ended with one man hurt and another in custody.
Tykelon Jackson, 22 was charged in connection with a shooting that took place at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 20. A man was taken to a local hospital after sustaining a gunshot wound. Deputies said his injuries do not appear to be serious.
Livingston Parish Sheriff Jason Ard said, “At this time, it appears this is an isolated incident. The parties were familiar with each other and had a related encounter earlier in the week.”
Jackson was booked into the Livingston Parish Detention Center and charged with aggravated criminal damage to property aggravated battery and illegal use of a weapon.
