WALKER, La. (BRPROUD) — A GoFundMe Me was created by the mother of local TikTok star, Mercedes Tidwell, after the death of her son, Wesley White.
Tidwell released a statement on the GoFundMe page on the passing of her son.
“I didn’t think I would ever be asking for money to help bury my son,” said Tidwell. “Words cannot describe the absolute hole in our lives. Anything helps. Thank you.”
Tidwell has over 140,000 followers on her TikTok page. According to Tidwell’s TikTok page, ‘bookclubwannabe’, she reads, reacts to, and reviews different selections of books including thrillers, romance and fantasy.
The donation goal for the GoFundMe was $30,000. Over 1,000 people have donated to the GoFundMe as the current funds raised stand at $40,969 as of Thursday, Nov. 16.
