LIVINGSTON PARISH, La. (BRPROUD) — Walker High School named a substitute principal Tuesday, Oct. 24 after former Walker High principal, Jason St. Pierre, was granted sick leave for the rest of the school year in response to his comments of a video of a Walker High student dancing at an off-campus party.
Tim Rogers, the assistant principal at Walker High School, was named the substitute principal of Walker High for the remainder of the 2023-2024 school year, according to a news release from Livingston Parish Public Schools.
According to a news release from Livingston Parish Public Schools, the Parish School Board is anticipated to vote on Rogers’ contract at the Nov. 2 meeting.
Rogers has been the assistant principal at Walker High School since 2016 and has had prior experience at Juban Parc Junior High and Denham Springs Junior High.
Rogers’ designation will begin on Oct. 30.
