LIVONIA, La. (BRPROUD) – The Pointe Coupee Parish Sheriff’s Office says Livonia High School will be closed Friday after a fight broke out between two students.
The sheriff’s office says two students allegedly beat another student in a classroom Thursday. One of the students went to the hospital. Their condition is not known at this time. The sheriff’s office is working with the Pointe Coupee Parish School Board to investigate the incident.
This is the second fight at Livonia High School. The sheriff’s office says a fight broke out in the parking lot Wednesday and is being investigated as a separate incident.
The school board says that classes will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 6.
