BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) –
UPDATE:
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, it appears the person in the vehicle suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
ORIGINAL:
The Baton Rouge Fire Department was called to the scene of a car fire on Wednesday morning.
The car fire was located at Florida Blvd. and North Sherwood Forest Blvd.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered a gunshot victim.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, a shooting victim “was found in/around a burning vehicle with an apparent gunshot injury.”
The gunshot victim sustained life-threatening injuries and is currently at a local hospital.
