Local Baptist church to host vaccine event Saturday

BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) – A local church will be hosting a vaccination event on Saturday, Sept. 25 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Little Zion Baptist Church of Scotlandville along with Metro Councilwoman Chauna Banks will also be giving out food, COVID-19 tests and COVID-19 vaccinations.

The church is located at 1955 74th Ave. in Baton Rouge, La.

Banks and Baptist Church of Scotlandville are also working with the Jewel J. Newman Community Center, Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank, Baton Rouge Primary Care Collaborative, Louisiana Department of Health, and the Louisiana National Guard for this event.

Residents who are VIP and live on 74th Ave can come between 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. with a valid I.D. The general community can come between 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
