Local community leaders partner for Hurricane Ida relief event on Saturday

BATON ROUGE, La (BRPROUD) –  Several local community leaders are going to host a drive-thru Hurricane Ida relief event for residents impacted by the storm.

Relief supplies will include hot lunches, food boxes, water, hand sanitizer and $25 gift cards while supplies last.

 The drive thru will be located at Living Faith Christian Center, 6375 Winbourne Avenue in Baton Rouge on Saturday, Sept. 11 from 11 a.m. until 1p.m.

Residents must have on masks.

Rep. C. Denise Marcelle along with Mayor Sharon Weston Broome, Congressman Troy Carter, Senator Regina Barrow, Representatives Ted James, Larry Selders and Barbara Carpenter have partnered with several local community leaders to host the event.
