Local heroin and marijuana distributor named “38 Fox” apprehended after traffic stop

EAST BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD)- The East Baton Rouge Sherriff Department is reporting the arrest of James Williams also known as ’38 Fox’, a local heroin and marijuana distributor.

Agents conducted a traffic stop after Williams’ left his residence which led to his arrest.

The following items were found in Williams’ vehicle:

  • 1.12 pounds of heroin (valued at $25,000)
  • 16.2 ounces of marijuana (valued at $2500)
  • Glock .45 caliber handgun (reported stolen from Assumption Parish)
  • $24,207 in currency

Then agents conducted a search warrant for his residence and found these items:

  • 10.6 ounces of marijuana
  • digital scale
  • cutting agent
  • $24,207 in currency

Williams’ is facing the following charges:

  • PWITD Schedule 1 Narcotics (2 counts)
  • Poss. of Drug Paraphernalia
  • Illegal Carrying of Weapon by a Convicted Felon
  • Illegal Carrying of a Firearm w/CDS
  • Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm
