WASHINGTON (BRPROUD) — United States Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-La) announced on Tuesday that the Department of Transportation will grant funds to Louisiana to improve airports across the state.

The grant will total in the amount of $7,450,000 and will go towards the expansion and development of the airports.

“Having modern, efficient airports is essential to create jobs and economic opportunity in Louisiana,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding, along with money from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill, will make our state a better place to live and start a business.”
