The Louisiana Department of Education will host the 21st Annual Jobs for America’s Graduates-Louisiana Student Leadership Conference on Wednesday, November 2 and Thursday, November 3 at the Lafayette Cajun Dome.

Over 1,800 JAG-LA students from 114 participating schools across the state will have the opportunity to network with one another to build their career readiness skills while competing in job related competitions, participating in team building activities and sharing best practices from successful JAG programs with one another.

Below is the conference agenda for both days. Students from participating schools in the southern part of the state will attend on Wednesday, while students from north Louisiana will attend on Thursday:

  • 9:00 a.m. Registration
  • 10:00 a.m.     General Session: Welcome and Presentation of Officers
    • November 2: Representative Chris Broadwater
    • November 3: Governor John Bel Edwards
  • 11:15 a.m.     Breakout Sessions
  • 12:00 p.m.     Lunch and continuation of breakout sessions
  •  2:30 p.m.     General Session: Awards and Closing Remarks
